Graham Ward, Chartered Accountant
Graham Ward is an Associate Consultant and Technical Advisor to Process Partners, LLC. Graham has over 25 years of experience including 9 years in industry and 16 years in auditing and risk management consulting. Graham's industry experience encompassed management responsibilities in financial and information systems areas in manufacturing and health care corporations. His auditing and consulting experience included 13 years with international CPA firms, primarily in risk management, audit, compliance and technology consulting. Graham's strengths include technology, process improvement, data analytics, IT audit, and system implementations.
Graham has extensive experience in risk assessment and process improvement (review of controls and processes, operational effectiveness); data quality, management, monitoring and analytics; enhancement of financial and operational reporting; numerous modeling projects (for example, for strategic planning for a major healthcare group); outsourcing and shared service centre design and implementation, and technology review and change projects (strategy, application selection and optimization, and implementation reviews).
Graham's achievements include:
- Experienced in managing both small teams and large multinational teams; able to communicate well with personnel at all levels, from senior executives to junior team members. Quality and service-orientated; have consistently achieved excellent reviews, client, peer and upward feedback throughout career.
- Managing Director, Risk Advisory Services (RAS), with BDO Seidman LLP (BDO) in Atlanta, GA. Responsible for practice providing internal audit, compliance, risk management and IT advisory services.
- Director PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), in Atlanta, London, and Wellington NZ. Graham was with PWC for 12 years as a Director of IS Audit, Systems & Process Assurance (SPA) Senior Manager responsible for managing both technology audits and for advising and assisting companies in implementing sustainable organizational and process changes to achieve Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Clients included two Fortune 500 organizations, 12 SEC issuers, and a range of private corporations; services ranged from testing of controls to implementation of global governance reporting systems.
- National responsibility for PWC New Zealand data privacy, for IS audit methodology and quality, and for use of data analytics in monitoring and assessing client controls.
- Corporate Finance Manager, UK based global industrial conglomerate. Responsibilities included overseeing a major divestment, strategic improvement initiatives, and data management projects.
- Project Leader for migration of general ledger, accounts payable, and purchasing systems of US monitoring business onto 'MFG/PRO', a Unix-based ERP system.
- Project Leader for in-depth review of all US reporting and use of data; responsible for design and implementation of data programs to facilitate worldwide budgeting and to enable users to efficiently interface data to the MFG/PRO financial systems.
- Chartered Accountant (UK) with law degree. Have been based in Europe, the US, and New Zealand (NZ).
Graham has his MA Jurisprudence from Magdalen College, Oxford University. He is a UK Chartered Accountant.
