Fran Michaud

Fran Michaud is a Strategic Resource and Technical Advisor to Process Partners, LLC. Fran has over 30 years experience in information systems management and consulting, including CIO positions with major public corporations. He has extensive experience in the areas of information systems strategic planning, mainframe and network platform management, custom software development, IT controls, package software evaluation and implementation, for companies in manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, insurance, and financial services. Fran has actively led and managed enterprise-wide business process re-engineering and information technology integration for global corporations.

Fran provides Process Partners and its clients with information technology leadership and expertise built from his extensive career as a CIO and member of executive management in major corporations. Fran's consulting experience has focused on the strategic use of information resources for establishing a competitive advantage by reshaping and focusing information technology organizations to better serve the needs of the business entity. He has developed companies' web presence as both an information delivery vehicle and an on-line software sales and delivery capability.

Fran's achievements include the following:

CIO at The Federal Home Loan Bank. Fran is currently the CIO, responsible for the information technology and telecommunications for this major financial services organization.

CIO at Crawford & Company, an Atlanta based, public corporation and market leader in insurance claims processing. He was responsible for all aspects of information technology and telecommunications for this multi-national organization. Fran's efforts resulted in savings in excess of $20 million while funding all new system and infrastructure investments and improving service levels.

Director of Information Services / CIO at Heidelberg USA, a German based manufacturer and distributor of high quality printing machinery, the global market share leader in the industry. As Director of Information Services/CIO at Heidelberg USA, he was responsible for all aspects of information systems and telecommunications. During his career at Heidelberg Fran reshaped the IS organization - cut costs and staff while improving service, directed the integration of IT organizations and systems for newly acquired companies, directed the company's relocation from an IT perspective - including building a new data center, directed a company-wide re-engineering project resulting in the selection of an enterprise-wide package solution, and developed the company's web presence.

Corporate Manager, Information Systems at Avco Corporation. He had the responsibility for the corporate-wide direction and coordination of information systems for the corporation - a $3 billion conglomerate (Insurance, Financial Services, Manufacturing, and Engineering).

In addition at Avco, he was responsible for establishing and managing a professional services organization whose functions encompassed the selection, acquisition, presales support, and installation of packaged software and the development of AVCO's proprietary software products. Included in his IT organization was a data center that supported a $300 Million division and a $20 Million commercial outsourcing business.

Fran has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont.
