Kenneth Benson

Ken Benson is an Associate Consultant and Technology Advisor to Process Partners, LLC. Ken has over 30 years of information technology experience including over 15 years as an iinformation technology executive overseeing global data center operation for major technology and financial service providers. Prior to his IT management experience Ken had extensive consulting experience with leading global strategy (Booz-Allen & Hamilton) and technology (Anderson Consulting) consulting firms. His strengths include technology architecture strategy and execution, data center management and operations, IT service management (ITIL), server virtualization, outsourcing/insourcing strategies and managed services and SaaS.

Led execution of industry aligned Service Management processes that improved the operational performance of 17 data centers worldwide. Using a diverse team of 10 process specialists, both design and process deployment was tailored to align with country priorities.
  • Achieved greater than 99.99% systems uptime across US core platforms.

  • Minimized the number of outages by platform for customer SLAs resulting in a reduction in SLA violations of 33%.

  • Reduced project cycle time by 26% and increased project throughput by 38% with application of Six Sigma.

  • Delivered a savings of $6MM from time-phasing infrastructure projects that improved IT Infrastructure and Operations.


Vice President, Hosted Solutions for global financial service provider with over 1,400 employees.

Packaged, negotiated and sold hosted solutions to national financial institutions customer base. Deals were crafted individually or in partnership with the territory based Account Executives.

Led Managed Hosting Operations and Customer Support for data center facilities supporting 400 Financial Institutions (FIs) and 2.2 million end users of these FIs.

Led creation of the Strategic Business Plan and Architecture Strategy and had overall P&L responsibility.
  • Built strong operational team of 90 - 100 technology professionals to support a 24x7 data center and customer care environment supporting 400 FIs. The core team included; Engineering Services (i.e. UNIX, Linux Administration & Storage Management), Global Network Operations (i.e. 100% Cisco Topology), Operations (i.e. 24x7 monitoring, BCP and DR programs) and Customer Care Center.

  • Restructured contracts resulting in over $4MM in annual savings to the bottom-line.

  • Deployed the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) methodology successfully to core operational processes and procedures resulting in flawless operational execution or 99.98%+.
